GCA Radar rotated on lazy susan after windshift at Craig AFB, Selma, Alabama.
AACS air traffic controllers practice with T-33. New runway foaming technique shown (for emergency landingss).

  • Miramar, 70-74, maintained FPN-52 and (2) FPN-36 GCA, TACAN. 52 I believe was modernized 16 with solid state receiver IF and other improvements. Used to fight MPI vibrations--A/C unit in same van as RADAR, on hardstand. I helped install and set it up in spring of '70, unit was brand new sitting at shop. our shop was behind the now gone "boresight" range where aircraft guns were sighted, I see Tacan--may be same tower is there, nearly wiped off by "Sandcrab" on crane truck once
