This dude is a hack ass cobbler

@medjur67...that don't touch the metal with you bare hands is vo-tech shit that you need to throw out the window their is a lot of truth behind that dude but its impractical to feel your work with anything but your bare hand (you need to feel the metal) their is proper ways to prep the metal for mud after you touch it with your greasy hands but you need bare hands to get a real feel...

i think it was good. he just seemed flustered. early 90's videos are hilarious.

@medjur67 why replace a entire piece when u can pop in some bondo,,,its only a small area...chill homes

@woodzo40 Ok. Do you know good videos on this? I would like to know how hard it is to do a solid mud job on a quarter panel vs replacing the entire panel with a new one. I don't know howto replace panels. Where should I start? I know computers. If you help me I will fix your caps-lock key.. LOL I'm totaly joking. I get that your trying to make it clear that this guy is misleading people into thinking you can spend 1 weekend and "fix" your beater. I expect a long arduous road ahead for me.

@HelpSaveTheEarth2051 I require answers too. I'm actually trying to learn. A lot of ppl are just saying one-liners like something they heard talking shop at a bar. I need to know specifically where this guy is messing up. I do know that he can be grinding rust into the metal. Rust is like a cancer. it spreads. Also if he doesn't bondo nicely and lets car sit outsie. I could see probs in future. But I don't know anything.... I want to learn.

@johnsont963 Do you know of some good videos showing patch panel work like your suggesting? I would like to see it to get an idea of what to do. By patch panel. Do you mean welding a piece onto the back as a plate to make sure no bondo is filling holes? Or do you mean cutting a piece out of the panel and then welding a piece flush into that hole. The later sounds pretty hard to do. Matching up a piece from a doner car to the original car. Thanks.

He should of at least cut out the rust and hanging pieces of metal!!! Why couldnt he just replace the fender?? You should also never touch any bear metal or anything your painting without gloves!!
