  • Is love this, is there anyway i can get hold of the entire version?

  • @gemzn Not that I know of. The original uploader closed the account some time back.

  • Seriously? He is magnificent. The detail in his interpretation is astounding and the control of his voice is impeccable. I'm about to graduate with a degree in musical theater and this video is a lesson in acting that most of my classes have failed to provide. It is a damn shame that he wasn't cast in the 25th anniversary. I do hope he reads all the comments on his videos that scream admiration and love... Bravo, Jones. Bravo.

  • @Pruticle I completely agree. John will play the Phantom on the 25th Anni. UK Tour, which is far better than the concert. Just like Les Mis 25. The concert wasn't excellent, it was fine, but the tour was outstanding (based on videos and audios)

  • @Belliole It wasn't a concert. XD

  • @TheJesermay Well, it's a general term. It's not "just a show". How do you define it, then?

  • Gina Beck is the perfect Christine in my eyes. She's the Christine that puts the girl, the story and the acting before the voice. Most Christines I see make their voice the main attraction, rely almost solely on how they sound. Gina manages to sound phenomenal, but it's her performance, her tone, her expressions, her choices in her body language and in her eyes that make me feel Christine. I wish more actresses got it -- despite the Phantom's obsession, Christine Daae is more than her voice.

  • Do people prefer safe acting rather than someone embracing the truly cathartic and disturbing fate and lifestyle of a man whose realm of existence is NOTHING like an adjusted person's? Often called over-the-top, Owen-Jones is actually serving the character better than most because how on earth would someone 40-years-old with no physical experience be having a small whimper about all this? He is destroyed.

  • @svoteary hmmm, it's funny because Gina Beck and John Owen Jones are known to be some of the best actors on the west end! Plus... Gina and John are known to be the best there ever has been. So if you don't mind... read the reviews... and please get your facts straight since these two are the best which London has to offer.. and TRUST ME... they are AMAZING! GINA BECK FTW <3

  • @svoteary

Have you heard Earl Carpenter recently? Go look up John Owen Jones singing Bring Him Home bud. I'm sure your favorite Phantom is Michael Crawford.

  • @svoteary haha because rape is so funny and should be joked about. You know what? Go fuck yourself.

  • @svoteary I'm intensely curious to know who your favorite Phantom is, if one exists.

  • @bbguy425 Yes, I know WHY he's meant to react that way. Still doesn't stop it from being funny :P

  • At least they didnt make a musical stage preformence out of the 1989 version of Phantom of the Opera. that would have been really hard to do

  • Thank you so much for this recording! I keep coming back to watch it. JOJ is the man!!!

  • @ThnkHppyThghts well he's never been kissed before...or even shown affection to...so it makes sense
