Quadstock XX at Seattle University

On May 16, 2009, the 20th Anniversary of Quadstock comes to Seattle University. At noon, the gates to the Union Green will open to a great collection of activities to engage in. There will be a dunk tank with campus personalities, a student performer stage with live music, free food, inflatable games including an obstacle course and sumo-wrestling suits, a volleyball game, arts and crafts, and henna tattoo artists among other things. This is all included with the price of admission. The student performer stage hosted by on-campus radio station KSUB, will host 8 different acts, from acapella to acoustic, metal to hip hop. All these festivities on the green will die down around 4pm at which point the Seattle University Quad will open.
The Quad will feature free food from Ezelles Chicken, Dicks Drive-In, Dominoes Pizza, Pita Pit, and more. Live music will start at 4:15 or so, featuring five professional acts, three of them being from the Seattle area. The music is sure to get bodies movin and groovin to the tunes echoing through the Quad. The headliner, Talib Kweli is a renowned hip-hop artist who has worked with the likes of Kanye West and Common; he brings intelligent lyrics with catchy beats to the 20th Anniversary of Quadstock. Its sure to be an event that brings the Seattle University community together in a celebration of music and festivities as we look forward to the sunny days of summer.
