Isn't that creeping down though? It looked like it was steadily going down right to the end of the video.

Great vid. Rich !! Car off 12.4 Running 13.95. Running with load it drops then goes back to 13.97. checked it again engine was running until normal temp it maintained 13.80. I then tried it with the AC full blast and lights on it was more like 13.55 and 13.25 when warm. Think maybe the alternator is why I`m bogging during take off. It`s worse with AC on and just very minor when AC is off.

@sbab83 it was a really slow decline, and the engine was at idle, driving with the rpms up creates more voltage, so its okay

thks good job
My truck did the same as Beiholt100, but the battery was charged the night before it went dead... Any idea why?

@LeendsysMom21 You need to do a static draw to see if you have abnormal draw.If so then it is a matter of removing fuses one at a time till you pinpoint the problem.

Hi Rich,
So I tested the alternator and it's putting out 14+ Volts while lights are on and blower on. This was after charging the battery. We drove it a bit, not a lot of miles for about 4 days and the battery was dead again last night. New battery time?

@briholt100 Do a static draw test to make sure there is not something draining the battery unless the battery is very old then just change it.

Before start engine my one is 12.59V
Start engine it's going 13.84V
Swithing on headlights and heater blow 13.87V
Switch off engine it's going back 12.60V
What do you think is my alternator failing?

@next675 Looks pretty good . Try leaving the headlight and blower on with the engine running for at least 5 min to make sure the alternator is not weak and can keep up with the demand.
