Donnie Rankin plays "All The Things You Are" on the Doug Powers' residence 3/42 Walker. This Walker is controlled by a real Wurlitzer console, opus 1659, which was once played by Jesse Crawford while installed at Chicago's WENR radio studio.

All the things you are was written by Jerome Kern and has been performed by thousands of artists, some sticking to its true ballad form, others jazzing it up. Here's my "power-ballad" rendition.

  • Great emotional input with perfect voicing. You must really love playing!

  • There are physical stops; notice Donnie changing them throughout. Or do you mean "Are there are any pipes?" There are not. This is a digital organ, having thousands of distinct recordings of organ pipes & sounds stored in its memory for instant retrieval & playback. It's powerful enough to play these in combination so the organist does the same things. The only difference is that the signals from unstopped keys play recorded notes through amplified speakers - instead of opening wind valves.

  • Is that a virtual organ? or are there physical stops?

  • INCREDIBLE TALENT!!!

  • Great job, fellow organist and theatre organ buff, thanks!
