@MosaicMessiah --its sell a ketchup popsicle to a women in white gloves. And did you catch the debates?? Ron is simply DUMB when it comes to ANYTHING! Sometimes i vot dem and sometimes rep but I can not bring myself to vote for Ron and if you can.... WOW!! The guy bashes the same government aid his own business recieved AND he bashes badger care which helps 5 of his employees and 10 of their dependants!!! WHY WERE REPUBLICANS NOT BITCHING ABOUT SPENDING WHEN WE WERE IN A WAR BASED ON LIES!!!
I hope all you unemployed, and soon to be unemployed inbred right wingers remember not one republican voted to extend unemployment comp!
AND, the very first thing they will do if they get the majority is to cut taxes for the wealthy elite. This is where thier hearts are at. How's that trickle down economics working for you?
AND, Ryan, Boner and the rest of that nigger clan want to privatize social security! If that happens you can kiss your retiremant goodbye! SUCKERS!
I'm sick of hearing politicians talk about families, children, and the elderly. What about single people!!! What about the 30 year old bachelor, young professionals, etc...
The same words "no one will ride it" were said by naysayers about many other rail and transit projects in the USA which are now very successful. Good examples can be found in many areas of the country, including California, Texas, North Carolina, Maine, and the Pacific Northwest, to name a but a few. People need and want transportation choices. Either we prepare for the future or accept third world status.
@MrTruthpatrol You are an idiot! No other way to put it. America is NOT Europe... and I am glad. Spending nearly a billion dollars on a train that no one will ride... is just plan dumb. It's not a policy thing.... it's just DUMB! Less that 1% of the state would use it... if that. Europe's trains are necessary and convenient because of confined areas.
The irony is your name "MrTruthPatrol". You need to change that to MrIgnorantPatrol". Repeat after me... "NO ONE IS GOING TO RIDE THE TRAIN!"
His vow to kill High Speed Rail will ultimately hurt Wisconsin. Progress must come, or the USA will fall behind Europe and especially China, where investment is aimed at preparing for a future that requires responsibility and conservation. This guy does not get it. He wants to take us back, not forward.
@zar1331 Then continue voting for those that WILL increase our taxes! The first rounds of cuts would be across the board....meaning hitting every government budget line. The next round should go after the unnecessary programs.....ie Obama Care, etc. (but even those I doubt would be completely eliminated). The problem is, no ONE of these people running can do it without the support of their colleagues...so more than likely nothing much will change on our current path to Europe!
Ron wants to cut spending. Great for him, however he should say WHAT he is going to cut. The people have a right to know what he is going to cut before we vote. Don't cry later ask him what he is going to cut before the election. He does not get my vote until I know what he means when he says he is going to "cut spending."
Ron Johnson ran a devastatingly effective campaign.
