  • He was showing the 4 count rotation, jerk. What a lady!! (not him)

  • Thanks for the corroboration. BTW, the girl's name is Diana. She was a great dance partner and a very cool person.

  • What happened to "N-1"?

  • Four count hustle doesn't have an N-1.

  • Thank you for posting this. I am considering lessons and I feared not even knowing the basics. I think I can do it!

  • Hello! I like your video very much! Thank you! It is all very clear!

  • I LOVE the Hustle, and learned to do it just like this when I took a 'sample class'. Thanks for posting this, because I had forgotten a bit. You did a great job with your presentation...very easy to repeat at home!

  • The demo with man and woman in the beginning has 180 degree rotations. If you're talking about the end, you're right that the rotation was less...it was just a function of doing it so slowly for demonstration.

  • I know for a fact that you're incorrect. The problem is that you're thinking of people who go to clubs, but the fact is that there are so many people who want to dance disco as partners at Christmas parties, weddings, and at ballrooms where hustle is a regular genre that is played. For so many of these people, three count hustle is just too hard for them to learn.

  • In my training, I was taught to define a step as a 100% change of weight from one foot to the other. When you rock back there is a moment when all of the weight is on the foot rocking back because the other foot is in the air. Thus, it is in fact a full step. I've found in my over 10,000 hours of teaching that the four count hustle is the one that right for beginners. So, that's what I put in the video.

  • I've danced hustle numerous times in competition and have taken 1st place. I've always danced it as a "AND 1-2-3, AND 1-2-3, AND 1-2-3 ..." The AND isn't a full step, but a transitioning 1/2 step and your 1 needs to make a statement.
