"In the award-winning documentary Children Full of Life, a fourth-grade class in a primary school in Kanazawa, northwest of Tokyo, learn lessons about compassion from their homeroom teacher, Toshiro Kanamori. He instructs each to write their true inner feelings in a letter, and read it aloud in front of the class. By sharing their lives, the children begin to realize the importance of caring for their classmates."

cool how they've been raised in an atmosphere where they can be so open at such a young age to tell each other about such personal things and how they feel about one another. at my school at that age if we had to write something like that, personally my friends and I would joke around and be like "lol feelings and shit, thats gay" and wouldnt be able to openly express our feelings seriously

IMHO: Japan has a bloody history from their past. Like every other government in the world. They've made mistakes just like Germany, England, Italy, El Salvador, Colombia, United States and every other country with ambitious and egomaniacs leaders. But we are in the present, we need reminders to not to make the same mistakes, but more importantly we need forgiveness and an education based on empathy not morality. Japan: bloody past, shiny present, brilliant future... I hope :S
