  • wow!! very difficult bass line, how did you learned that

  • I have this bass. Love it but would sale. And it is the lightest precision I have ever played. Also got the 62' Jazz but NOT4SALE.

Like the Strat & Tele the Bass's have there own unique sound!

  • Trasmission!!

  • You play one of the best basses ever made to one of the best bands to ever walk the face of the earth....SIR, I SALUTE YOU!!!!!!!!

  • @omgwtfbbqalekx I agree the pick is limiting but it's all about tone and style. To me I play more rock and metal so the pick pushes the tone out better. I can play with fingers and slap, pop and tap. All the tricks. It should be what a person wants to sound like with their own style and tone. Even with my circumstance I still will play with my fingers or slap and pop some too. To me the pick is a little harder and slower when playing octaves and jumping strings. Play what ya like is what I say.

  • @ExplosionBass Either are fine, but I think the whole thing behind pick vs. no pick is that the pick is very limiting. Without a pic, and using 4 fingers and thumb, you can explore a lot more techniques and break different barriers, whereas with the pic, in those regards, you are more limited. There's a reason why he doesn't slap with a pic at the end. If circumstances make it so you have to use a pic, fine, but using your fingers will help you break those barriers and explore more.

  • Great sounding and looking Bass! It still amazes me that people who play Bass argue over Pick VS. No Pick. Hey we are all playing Bass. That's what counts! Plus its all about tone and style. Also circumstances. After 2 surgeries for Carpal Tunnel I have decided to play with a pick over fingers. The index and middle finger moved repeatedly will cause it everytime.

I'm not really sure how to describe the sound Tool gets from using a pick, but no other way of playing I can do, or heard any one else use sounds the same as a pick (at least for some of my favorite Tool songs).

I just think it makes a different sound, then again how GOOD something sounds is a matter of personal opinion I suppose
