@NuRm69 Hate is too harsh a word to describe my negative thoughts towards Hanson or any player for that matter. I see that Hanson's career is probably on a downward slide, and Rayner demonstrated an ability to be a good replacement. I would hope that Hanson would retire than being cut.

@nevsky1961 Hanson has been very consistent for 20 years. I'm not sure why the hate on Hanson. Yes, he's old, but age isn't really an issue for Kickers, see Morten Andersen.

@Supershattered1 In the last game of the season, Rayner kicked a 55 yd field goal, tying but not breaking Hanson's career/team longest set quite a few years ago. Sorry for the misprint.

Rayner kicked the longest FG in Lions history in 2010. Let's hope Jason Hanson's days in Detroit are done. :)
