The hunter you find in a lot of German literature, in the Romantic times it was suitable because is irritation, later it is often censored. But you also find censored interpretations of this song where the indifference is cut.

In times of extreme stress as in time of war or during persecution and hunger you can get a feeling of wellbeing if you have Schubert and Prey to listen to. I would rather be without food than my music collection.
