Guys it's not necessarily the network's fault. A lot of the good anime got moved to adult swim or off toonami because the target audience for Cartoon Network is ages 6 to 11. and they were deemed inappropriate, while I miss them just as much as anyone, I don't blame cartoon network for anything except getting rid of toonami, which did majorly suck. but they did what they had to to keep ratings up............then everything got put on the internet.

I completely missed this show on Toonami, wasn't into much else than DBZ when this show aired, but 8 years after it aired I had read a few articles about this show and finally bought it on DVD. The marketing for this series outside of Toonami sucked, especially how they set up the DVDs, but it is a very good mini series/movie that while it was originally meant to show off 3D technology use in anime is steeped in some interesting philosophical points.

@Fyraga1 The show was re-edited for content when it aired on Toonami.
All four episodes were edited together into a small OVA film on DVD. The DVD contains the Toonami-version.
I has said DVD.

Stu Snyder disliked this twice.

I remember when this series came out; even by those days' standards, the CGI looked dreadfuly out of place.
I remember watching this on television as a child. Years later all I could remember were the faces of Hayami and Mutio, Hayami's bitterness, and Velg's cries of sorrow. It took me years to find the title of this anime so I could watch it again and it still makes me cry. What they've done to Cartoon Network is a crime.

Thank you for putting this up.
I miss what Toonami used to be. That and their counterpart CNX.
They used to air this anime all the time on that channel.
The executives should have kept the channel going.
BUT NO!
Instead we all got to watch Cartoon Network slowly shrivel into a channel with no quality shows.
1990-early 2000's, the era of quality childrens programming.
You will be missed.
