Hey, dumb question. I still have a emachines w2828. When you installed the recorder did the plastic part and little metal piece just pop out?

i got a pentium d 3.0 ghz for it and it it;s socket 775 with 800mhzfsb and it wont work i heard it wont accept dualcore cpu's do u know if it can?
