This is my first finished model of 2012 and of course it is another Tiger Meet show plane!

It is the Franch Air Force & evaluation unit, 330-EC "Eye of the Tiger" 2006 NATO Tiger Meet by Hobby Boss

The kit goes together really well apart from just a couple small area's where some filler is required but its a relatively small problem to fix. The photo's make it look worse than it is...
The detailing is very good all over from inside the cockpit controls to the wheel bay's to the panel lines - gives it a very realistic look and feel.

The decals are of reasonable quality - some of them had light scuffs before I even removed them from the box which is a little disappointing but I managed to cover most of that up.
Applying them I used Johnsons Klear and they took very well to the panel lines etc. The other issue I had with them is the size of a couple of the decals - they are on the large side and needed very careful handling to get them into the exact right place.

Overall it made a nice looking model - not flawless but then what model is?

Kit - 9/10
Decals - 8/10
Detailing 10/10

  • It's a nice piece, but why did you present it as a video? It would have been much quicker and in better quality if you presented the still photos in a blog. That way we could also magnify the most interesting ones. There are way too many slideshow videos on youtube allready, don't add to the sad situation.

  • @snowduck616 I hear you man but at the end of the day most people like seeing videos and upload they're own and if you don't approve you don't have to look at it.

  • Simply... BEAUTIFULL!!!! And perfect, as always!!! :)

  • @lallix97 Thanks very much. Nice to hear you like it :)

  • Awesome! Love the decal work mate... Re the P-47, mix it up and have some good fun: Tigermeet 1944! That'd look slick

  • @MilitaryAircraft101 Thats a great Idea. If I airbrushed I'd seriously consider it. One day I'll get one and I'll do one haha

  • It took a while to get together, for obvious reasons.. but it was well worth waiting for! This is both a beauty... and a beast!! :) :) Will definetely have to build a Rafale now.. of some sort!! :) :) Your models have opened my eyes to other aircraft than old WWII stuff... :)

  • Wow, looks like some serious fit issues with this kit, but I must say, your dilligence has ceratinly paid off! Superb final result. Now go make a P-47 and get your dad really quaking in his boots! :P

  • Nice kit and build. Very eye catching art work as usual with the Tigermeet stuff. Pity India has just decided to buy this instead of the Typhoon!

  • Nice work mate

  • I recommend: Revel 1/72 scale tank, "T-72 M1" 1990's era Russian tank afaik.

Fun kit, has hard tracks divided into segments, single track for the curved parts of the track and a solid longer piece for the top and bottom parts of the tracks. Tip: make sure to not glue the track parts too tighly, but leave say 1/10 th millimeter spacing to achieve same spacing all over the track. Lots of details, some almost too small to practically glu on.

  • @atomicdog32 Thanks very much :D
