@MilibandDavid I saw the video, it was an ancient Volvo VS a brand new Modus. Hmm I wonder which would win? I haven't seen a Volvo commercial in ages and what crawled up your ass about Volvo? It's great that tech is improving over the year. Be happy that the Modus did so well.

@MilibandDavid You act like the 740 is being sold today and marketed by Volvo as a very safe car. There is no bullshit in Volvo safety when hundreds (if not more) lives have been saved by a Volvo. And also, Volvo has a powerful marketing department? I don’t know about you but I see a lot more commercials advertising Mercedes Benz and Honda than I do Volvo.

@MilibandDavid Why so much resentment? Have you even ever owned a Volvo? The test you speak of was conducted by Fifth Gear and demonstrated how modern cars are built with more rigidity in a smaller package. There were no real safety laws (or at least none as serious as today) back when the 740 was originally designed. At the time, Volvo was the only car company to really harp on automotive safety. The 700 series (as well as the 200 and 900 series) were very safe and revolutionary in their day.
