Here's a video of a Samsung T260HD monitor paired with a MacBook Pro, shot on a Nikon D90. Please excuse the darkness, I wanted to ensure the monitor is visible in the video which, unfortunately, caused me to look very dark. Forgive me!

Afterthoughts -- This is one kick butt monitor! I was looking to purchase (2) 26" Samsungs but could not find an adapter to run two external monitors locally, so I decided to stick with one. In the end, I'm extremely happy and suggest the monitor to any and everyone. I liiiiiiiiiike!

  • Thank you for the comments everyone! I really appreciate it. I have been swamped with work and just noticed a bunch of comments. Forgive me! :)

Gembenjamin (Ben) -- Regarding monitor hookup, I'm not at that particular computer now, but I'm almost 100% positive I used the cable supplied with the monitor. I plugged it into the DVI out port on my MacBook Pro. If you have any questions, please feel free to shoot me a message.

  • Hey have you watched TV on this monitor yet? If so how is the quality in comparison to mainstream LCD's on the market?

  • stonepete9 -- Pertaining to quality, watching movies/shows on this monitor is excellent. DVD's look very good and I often find myself steaming videos from Netflix. I'm sure some of the brand new LED/LCD TV's may be better, but most are $1,500+

    I hope this helps. :)

  • how can i run my monitor with my macbook lid closed?

    help please!

  • SebATRandom -- To run the MacBook Pro with an external monitor and lid closed, simply put the machine to sleep and close the lid. Tap your space bar a few times and the computer will startup using the external monitor. Keep in mind you must have an external mouse and keyboard to use this function.

  • Do not run your Macbook with the closed lid. Follow this step

1 put you Mac to sleep through the software

    2 close your lid

3 then press any key on your keyboard

4 when the OS awakens open your lid

This will help your Mac run cooler.

  • Thanks for the comment! That's actually exactly what I do :)

I also have a Belkin laptop stand with a fan that I typically use under the laptop.
