I use this pedal on Bass and find it very good. It produces a smooth pleasant distortion and with less noise than f.e. the Boss DS-1. It's quite easy to dial in a good sound and for the money a "killer".

I have this pedal, and I have tried on various amps (Crate rfx65 solid state, Blackstar amps, Marshall, Vox, etc) and it does NOT repeat, DOES NOT deliver. No matter how much i mess wit hthe tone and countour and the eq's on the amps, I cannot get enough saturation. Whats more, is the high pitch squeaky noise I get with even the tiniest amounts of gain, and volume past 4 or 5, even with the amp at low volumes. I paid 70 US in Korea, and it was not worth the price I paid for it.

The soloist is a great pedal. The price is going higher on ebay. Only one seller now in UK sells it for $60 (or near $72 shipped to USA). I also like the Artec graphic eq qith built in tuner and the big dots tuner.

not really sure what the difference is between this and the duo drive blender on the metal setting, but this really does sound great!
especially when you switch to the neck pickup, really creamy

nice playing man !. What amp are you using ? is it a peavey valve king royal 8 ?
2 gitáros esetén mennyire passzol a hangzás, ha az egyik ezt az SLD pedált használja, másik pedig a Twinheadet? Alkalmas a Soloist Distortion ritmus kíséret játszására?

Természetesen igen a Soloist Distrortion és a Twinhead egy nagyon jó párosítás.

Which would be better for driving an medium-high amp into more gain(like for metal)? The Blues OD or the Soloist distortion?
I need the clearest most transparent sound possible. Maybe I should get a maxon?

In that case you should use the SLD. Like Dimebag used distortion sound in he's songs. Overdrive sound is much more natural but not so METAL.
