Best Friends Animal Society has a phenominal program that converts Pet Stores into Shops that adopt out animals from shelters... any "outlet" that gets animals into the public eye, needs to be opened! Too bad no one approached the Pet Store to convert!!! It's location could have greatly helped animals!
I'd also like to say, there AREN'T enough homes for all the animals that are born! 74.6 Homes obtain one or more pets, the remaining 25.4 either don't want a pet or can't have a pet

well to be honest.. shutting down the pet store is not the best to go about it because you have no clue what they will do with the animals that were at the pet store. they could have been sent back to the puppy mill to be a reproducer or get killed. i say instead of attacking the pet stores, attack the puppy mills themselves because the dogs in the window deserve a home just as much as the dogs at the puppy mill.
