All three of them are already dead by the start of the episode. They are all spirits, they have no shadows while everybody else does. Nobody else notices them or interacts with them; Zebra sees the spirit of the guy who jumped in front of the train. He didn't actually survive. Notice how nobody was looking at him as he limped away? He was dead, and had no shadow.
You don't really notice that they don't have shadows because they are walking IN shadows through most of the start of the episode.

@JigglyRose Pretty sure the guy was supposed to be dead though. That's why he was able to walk away, and probably why the old man noticed him a little later (as a ghost).

LMAO. I love how they're all getting ready to jump in front of the train, and then BAM someone else does it before them and they're too stunned to move. This episode is great.
