    It seems more '87/'88 to me. The styling and instrumentation used in this didn't become popular until around that time. Also, compare this video to a Madonna video from '84 and you will see great differences in style, both fashion and direction.

    Because the 80s didn't disappear miraculously in year 1990. 1987-1993 was a slow transitional period and stuff from the early 90s can seem very 80s.
