Yes, his name was Lewis Steinberg jnr and he played on the original GREEN ONION. I always thought he was white with german or austrian origins but he was black & jewish. He came from a family with highly respected (classical) musicians but I do not know what he did after leaving BOOKER T. in 64. Drummer Al Jackson became a producer & studio drummer and played with Al Green & Elvis in the early 70's. He was murdered in 1975. I like to invite you to my BLUESCARTOONS
