The President of Racino Now, Dick Day, traveled to the St. Paul, Minnesota on Tuesday, February 23 to unveil the 2010 Racino Bill in conjunction with its authors State Representative Al Juhnke (DFL-Willmar) and Senator Dan Sparks (DFL Austin). The proposed legislation would create the Jobs, Family and Economic Development fund. Is it estimated that as much as $125 million a year will be generated for this fund through the expansion of video game wagering at Minnesotas two racetracks Canterbury Park and Running Aces Harness Park.

"Racino is a win-win for Minnesota," said Day. "We are facing a $1.2 billion deficit and thousands of people are unemployed. We know there is no new money available to invest in areas such as early childhood education, agriculture or the biosciences. This plan covers it all."

The Jobs, Family and Economic Development fund will appropriate 20% of their total revenues to each of the following areas:

*Agriculture and rural development;

*Early childhood development and family education;

*Research and development of bioscience and medical technology businesses, opportunities and employment;

*Athletic, recreational and extracurricular facilities and programs to stimulate capital improvements and employment;

*General fund expenditures
