ToFu you speak of eradication of the coqui only shows your ignorance. It's not about Hawaii it's about living with all our animals on Earth. As you love your Sea animals like Whales, Dolphin and turtles we love this helpless frog. We would never kill your Sea animals so why kill coqui. Perhaps the issue is that since Hawaii is basically a volcano made state and only a few land animals survived though years of ashes. Embrace El Coqui I'm sure that your ancestors would have. @Unknownkid2 Because I live on an organic farm surrounded by a forest that is being invaded by them and their call. I do not like it. It is not comforting. I used to hear whales blowing and singing from my bed. Not anymore. I respect the aina (land) more than most and have two environmental degrees. I have traveled the world and understand ecology and cultural sensitivities & the threats invasive species present. I get it... you like them. I don't. They do not belong here. It is not personal.

I guess Hawiians don't like the coqui song 'cause they are not customized to it. To me it is beautiful...I wish they could send them back to Puerto Rico instead of killing them. They are endangered species and I miss them. I don't hear them so often these days :(
