@55cabgirl Read the book - it is so much better! It shows more nuance to thier relationship, too. I believe that the author didn't intend for one to love the other more, rather, she wanted to show how one was able to accept and integrate their feelings better than the other, which, tragically, cut him off some from experiencing the love he had.

I dont think the love was mutual after actually watchin the movie I think in my own personal opninon that jack loved ennis more than he did him. Jack was fine with who he was although they both were living a lie but ennis wanted bith which wasnt fair to jack who just simply wanted his undivided love if you truly love someone
