What do you know? Peca played the game and played against him. You play xbox.

  • Peca played against an 18-20 year old Bouwmeester. Most D don't even play in the NHL at that age. Of course he'll make mistakes.

Watching Bouwmeester, he's not exactly a super soft guy. Sure, he isn't the most physical guy around, but he is an airtight D (who is complemented well by the physical Regehr) who can use an average shot and high speed to string together chances. He'll never be a natural PP quarterback, but he's a solid 50 point getter with no defencive problems and amazing speed.

  • @kirant wait, how many 50 point seasons has he had in how many years?

  • @3KingG - That was written right after the comments were made by Peca. The team looked much different at the time.

  • @kirant 50 points? I live in Calgary he didn't even put up 30 yet with the Flames

  • @kirant hit it on the head with that. he's not a 6million dollar player though, kirs letang, shea weber, doughty and keith are but him he only deserves 3 or 4.

  • He was great in Florida.

  • Agree 100% with Peca. Bouwmeester is just such a frustrating player to watch. And I'm not even a Flames fan. It's just so annoying watching a defenseman embarass himself in his own end and still makes huge amounts of money just because he's a better skater than guys in the minors who play the position way better than him.

  • Bouwmeester is fragile and soft, he does not have a snarl to compliment that skill. When Florida drafted him I thought they got a gem of a player, but the guy is simply too nice.

  • @geroy57 - All I'm saying is that I agree with you having watched him the past few months.

  • @kirant dude that is what iam saying other then i don't agree with the fact you think his softness occured over the last strech of game s

  • @geroy57 - Bear in mind that this was months ago. Having watched his play down the stretch, I find that he's much softer than I would have imagined.
