JG M4A1 Carbine upgrade from 9.6v to 11.1V Lipo

JG M4A1 Full metal, upgraded 2008 version metal gear box , prefitted mosfet, uprated internals.

Dropped a 11.1v 1100mah 20C Firefox Lipo in and the ROF increased immensely. So far I have skirmished a full day of CQB on both semi and full auto and experienced no issues.

Sometimes the cycle does not complete on semi.

Another update, after several skirmishes the anti-reversal latch spring broke and the teeth on the piston shredded. This was a 2nd hand gearbox and I do not know the extent to which the previous owner used it.

I have now upgraded most of the internals.

Just an update, I did a full days woodland skirmishing with this last weekend, the 15C lasted all day, put around 10k rounds through the gun over the course of the day and it never missed a beat.

if i get the newest verison and use the battery will it strip the gears the plastic one

@rtr1935 Unfortunately I have only tested this with the Full Metal 2008 version.

I have this version and the guy at the shop told me it could strip the gears on it

@christower50 Well in a sense yes it can strip the gears, however as mentioned this has been done many a time. Just Google and you'll see the results, there are also numerous other videos on youtube with people that have done this. If you not confident enough then don't do it, however I did plenty of research and I took the plunge as it's been done loads.

@christower50 This specific model of JG M4A1 comes with uprated internals and there are plenty of people runnings these quite happily on 11.1v Lipo for some time now already.

As per the description I have only done a single full days skirmishing but it never skipped a beat!
