@ckc1958 YES, it had to  have been vary hard. God Bless Kathy it seems she taugh thier son his dad truly loved him wich had to have been a qustion in his head as a child. But Kathy rased thier boy well.

I remember the show and FP even though I was very young... The theme song especially. He was only 22 when he died though, I thought a bit older... good god... RIP FP

I was a huge fan of Freddie Sr. He was so handsome, funny and charismatic. His passing really shook me up. As I watch this video, I'm very impressed by Freddie Jr. He was just a baby when all this happened but you can tell that his Mother Kathy instilled the love in him for Freddie Sr. that she always had. I'm sure he's shining down on all of them and so proud that his family honors his legacy. Thanks for sharing this moment!!

I had a big crush on Freddie Sr also. I , too, was devasted when he took his life. I have that picture of Freddie Jr. with Kathy when he was 2 years old also. It was a 2 part spread where Kathy tried to explain what life was like with her late husband. When Freddie Sr. died, many people unfairly blamed Kathy for leaving him. She never stopped loving him.

Thank you - I was trying to think of Freddie's wife's name. Freddie Jr. is the spit-and-image of his mama. I've got a picture of him with Kathy when he was about two years old, with long bangs covering his face. He does have his father's smile, though. I had a serious crush on "Chico", though, collected every snippet out of the teen magazines about him, and was devastated when he took his life. If only he could see his boy today.
