Today, we want to show you that IBM BladeCenter is the right choice for delivering rock-solid IT that is based on open standards. IBM BladeCenter chassis design is borrowed from our mainframe design which gives you performance and capability leadership, and also lets you improve on all aspects of the chassis. IBM BladeCenter clients enjoy real redundancy, hardened IT, and now the fastest performance on an end-to-end 8Gbps Fibre Channel fabric.

Our competition, HP has had to change their chassis design multiple times. In fact, HP is now on its third chassis design. Even with this third attempt, HP cannot seem to get the design right. Their latest c7000 chassis has recently run into an issue with power supply failures. HP publicly stated that even with redundant power, the power supply failure will result in an unplanned outage. This is not the only problem, the HP c7000 chassis latest problem is an inability to deliver high-speed 8Gbps Fibre Channel fabric to the blade server.
