Kathleen actually just lectured here at Columbia College about her life and influences in creating the Riot Grrrl! movement. There ended up being this guy in the auditorium who heckled her and she straight up told him to shut the fuck up and leave. So he was escorted out. Anyway I got to ask her a question and she was just really nice and awesome.

When I was just a stupid kid, I thought it "weird" that JD Samson was a woman with a "moustache", but thankfully the music kept me involved. And thank goodness, because now I'm no longer weirded out by women reclaiming their body hair. In fact, I celebrate it. Fuck shaving, fuck waxing, it's your body, do your own thing!
