In 1980 kwam ik voor het eerst in Charleroi. Een ritje met lijn 80 langs o.a. Marchienne ou Pont, Roux, Courcelles, Trazegnies, Morlanwelz, La Louviere, Bracquegnies naar Maurage duurde meer dan 2uur. Heerlijk door de achtertuinen van de huizen, dan weer dwars door een dorp en zo weer de velden in. Jammer dat dit voorgoed voorbij is. Alleen tussen Petria en Anderlues Monument is nog een klein stukje "boeren tram" overgebleven. Hopelijk nog voor lange tijd.......

Great to see these old trams having a second chance at life. I agree with lever. Such stupidity with politics. Politicians at times can't seem to leave such histroic artifacts alone!

These trams have been in Spain too. They first went to the FC Carreño (F.E.V.E) and then went to Valencia (F.E.V.E - F.G.V) There are some of them in a train depot at Alcázar de San Juan (Castilla la Mancha -Spain) Hope you can use this information that I have given for something ;-)

P.S: Here in Spain, they were called "Belgas-Belgiums" or "Fabiolos"

The trams in this region were a great treasure.. It would have attracted very many tourists. So sad Belgian officials never realized what the had, in staed, were too eager to dismantle.

Such an unimagible destruction.

Il y a des tramways qui ont plus de chance que d'autres.... La série des 400 de la STIC méritait mieux que de disparaître complètement. J'ai roulé sur les mortrices S mais mo coeur reste attaché aux trams verts.... beaucoup plus poétiques avrec leur deux essieux !
