Today, January 20th, 2010, Jason Taylor, President of the Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper, was awarded the Silver Medal Award by the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). 96 Advertising professionals attended the event, where Leslie Kahana, Advertising Director, Russell Lively, Controller, Ed Bourn, Online Director and Tom Tolar, President and General Manager of WRCBTV (NBC) roasted/toasted Jason's accomplishment at the young age of 35.

The award criteria was the following:
Contributions to his/her Company - the recipient must have achieved success in one of the following areas of work, advertising agency, advertiser, media or advertising service.
Creative ability - the recipient must have shown a consistent, high degree of original thinking in their field.
Contributions to the general advancement of advertising - the recipient should be active in either civic, religious, or other groups dedicated to human or social welfare.

This video was shown to provide a highlight of his impressive career in the newspaper industry.

Note to non-Chattanooga Times Free Press employees: the trophy in the background of a lot of the shots is because Jason won the 2009 Chattanooga Dancing with the Stars event which benefited the Partnership for Families, Children and Adults; a local charity.

Thanks to the folks at Mindflow Media for putting this great video together to honor Jason in such a short period of time.

  • Jason is one of a Kind. He took something that was not thriving and breathed life back into it. He challenges people to reach for the stars in everything they do. He does care for everyone. Including the family of co-workers. He attends weddings, funerals, plays, etc. showing you that you are important. Thanks for making my husband want to get up and go to work everyday. He loves working beside you and even learning from you! Thanks for coming to Chattanooga! Tonya Lively

  • Awesome video - - awesome son-in-law - - awesome family. Congratulations to Jason and the Times Free Press.
