@MrOzgood it doesn't matter what you call it all that matters is that you are playing the game and love the game that's all that counts in my opinion

This song, from the first time I heard it, became very special to me - the last few lines of the song mean the most.. As a little leaguer, I couldn't hit to save my life, not that much better as a fielder, either. When I became a teenager - I discovered pitching. Now at 36 years old - I'm getting ready to start my 27th season in baseball.... for anyone whose faced me over the years - "the ball goes up and the ball goes down" has a totally different meaning to it. :)

@MrOzgood dude, when i wrote that, I was 13 years old, and i'm from the Netherlands, so... My English was just not as good as some other americane dude...

@elementals4avatar I don't think so. Real ballplayers don't use the term "baseballer". You are a fraud.

@madochio your right this song is great but the message is better its all about never giving up. My 16 year old loves this song he told me once that when hes feeling down he listens to this song off a disc i made for him and he knows its only bad for a little while till he changes things. I am glad i raised my kids to know only you can make the difference in your life, and you cant blame everyone else for your failures. They have come a long way in life with that thinking and they are strong.
