發光的螢火蟲~劉大偉

旅美華裔動畫家劉大偉，從小在美國求學的他，因為繪畫天分過人，年僅19歲就進入好萊塢工作，曾經製作過《美女與野獸》、《阿拉丁》、《獅子王》、《花木蘭》等多部膾炙人­口的動畫電影。
然而，劉大偉的童年卻不如他的畫作一般精采...由於成績不好，無法達到父母親的期望，讓他自幼身處遭人否定的環境，導致長期生活在自卑的陰影底下；直到在一次的全國美術­競賽中獲獎，成為名列全美20名的小畫家，終於讓他走出自卑陰霾，且全心投入繪畫的世界。
劉大偉憑藉著過人的繪畫天分，學生時期獲獎無數，也奠定他朝向藝術之路發展的根基；然而，正當他決定全力衝刺之際，突如其來的一場無情漩渦，徹底粉碎了他的自我，讓劉大偉­不僅走過出死入生的奇妙歷程，更經驗上帝真實地翻轉他的人生。
在美國畫壇上嶄露頭角的劉大偉，卻選擇在事業最巔峰之際，毅然決然放棄電影動畫的優渥收入，獻身福音工作，使用上帝賜給他的才能，全力為主發光。
即便不會念書，但劉大偉靠著出眾的繪畫才華，找到屬於自己的一片天，他堅持自我、懷抱理想，彷彿一隻螢火蟲，在黑暗中努力展翅發光。

Davy is a light. He has an amazing story and an even more amazing resolve to be a faithful servent of God. In the time I came to know him during his college days he made a considerable impact on my life. I will always count him amogst my dearest friends. Time passed and distance apart do not matter. That is the kind of person Davy is. Continually glorifying the Lord Jesus and thereby glorifying God.

Davy Liu is my younger brother, growing up teenager in the 80's&new immigrants to the US, Heavenly Father divinely in His mercy & everlasting love embraced us w/ His faithfuls, sincerly loved and cared for us thus we learn to set, listen and read God's words from the Holy Bible. Church uncles/aunties & their family members gave quality time, prayerfully encouraged, walk alongside & grew w/ us. This video reminded me: being a living sacrifice, that's waht Heavenly Father tells us to be.
