Senate Bill 787 will change federal jurisdiction over "navigable" water, to give the federal government control over all water everwhere, in municiple reservoirs, and on private lands, and in private wells. • Historically, Historically, and historically... Not legally defined as, but historically...

Basically this is the problem, we have NOT ONE unpolluted natural source of water in the united states... WE HAVE To stop unregulated pollution even IF it is a landlocked farm that is over fertilizing on that land is STILL GETTING into the ground water...

there is NO acceptable level of pollution NONE we need Clean water or we will be pay a hell of a price in the future

  • @volizden There is plenty of unpolluted water in the United States. We also have more than enough regulation. We certainly do not need any further regulation of private property. Government is using water as an excuse to control the use of property. Enough! There is no freedom without property ownership, and ownership means control of the use of property.

  • As of September 21, the bill has been approved by the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and sent to the floor for a full Senate vote. It is still awaiting a floor vote. Senators should be encouraged to oppose this bill. Call yours today.

  • @henryzeke Can you please Update? Is EPA in charge Now?

  • This bill is irrelevant. They can already declare ANY body of water to be a wetland and subject to EPA regulation. This has already been abused in states like Colorado.

  • @FARMER7911

You're right! Couldn't agree with more! So, how do we get back to a constitutional republic? 1st we need to turn back 911 and prove it's not what it appears or lead to believe. 911 is being used against the good people of this country and justifying their unconstitutional BS. I don't see it getting any better until "We The People" Demand The Truth with a conviction of the real "evil doers" Until then it's only going to get worse.

  • @FARMER7911 does the 10th amendment center know about this crap?

  • voting wont work. too many d---a--s entrenched bureaurecrats. EPA among other departments need eliminating. Voting didn't work with King George and Voting won't work here. We are not currently a constitutional republic any more and until we get back to that we don't have much hope.

  • We must all go to the polls in Nov. 2010 and vote all these bastards out of office! It's the only chance we as individuals can really make a difference. The next step is returning to "State Sovereignty"! No wonder so many states want to secede from the union. The only thing worse than not voting, is voting and being ate up with dumbass. That's why we have Obama for a president. A nation of idiots is so easy to manage. Better wake up America, before it's too late.... if it isn't already too late.

  • What a sweet name (clean water) for such a sleazy bill. The implications of the bill reaches far beyond the "waters", because it includes nearby "activities affecting these waters" even if the flow is once a year in a drainage ditch or rain gutter. Under most state laws even soggy meadows will be considered "public trust lands" of free for everyone to use and abuse. More dumb legislation from short sighted politicians.
