How to Make Skrillex - Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites Lead using Sylenth VST

This is a brief How-To video tutorial on creating a SIMILAR sounding synth lead to the one that Skrillex used in his track "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites". While I don't think Skrillex actually used Sylenth in this particular song, I do know that he has used Sylenth before in tracks. The concept for creating this preset is pretty much the same in all synthesizers so go and apply this knowledge to whatever your synth of choice may be.

@aIex187 I didn't even know there was a preset like that in the factory bank, mainly because I hardly ever use presets. When I load my Sylenth it loads the initBank, so it's all blank presets. I understand it's fun and great to load up presets but I truly feel that destroys the integrity of music production on the computer -- since you really aren't learning anything. Thanks for the advice though.

I actually though the bit at the start was what you made and I was like :O Clone. I think this is pretty accurate though as well. I hope your music career takes you somewhere big in the future ;)

In fact, using some of your mods with the screamer preset result in something really interesting... YOUR OWN SOUND, not someone elses.

Both are great. Nothing wrong with presets or building from scratch, because the MOST important part is the MUSIC.
