The beginning actually was carr's fault. He was supposed to stop drumming when Gene said "get up" but he didn't and it threw him off.

WHen you think about KISS was really genius that night... they were able to fool around a little and play a bit of Stairway and Won't Get Fooled Again and mixed it up, but still stuck with the staple elements of a KISS show
