correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that this is a JATO(Jet Assisted Take-Off) and not rocket assisted

Ya, I think the official name is JATO but the system uses solid state fuel rockets to create a jet of burning propellants.

@aSimulatedHigh In our aircraft the controls are simply labeled 'Assisted Take-Off'

@AgentJ11191998 They've found water a long time ago, and a couple months ago, they found bacteria. The "Faces of Mars" is probably some rock formations that coincidentally resemble faces, as how you can see figures in clouds and stuff.
