Just a drive by of some of the killing of good cars. Some of these were true clunkers and rust buckets but the better part were very clean and well taken care of vehicles. I wonder if people really know what happens once they give their old cars up. Cash for clunkers

The dodge dually, early 90's chevy pickup with lift kit, some of the cars, and the late 80's and early 90's ford pickups, should have not been cash in. Those vehicles probably had no mechanical problems, what a waste. The whole program was a waste, I mean think about teenagers, what are they supposed to drive? Not everybody can afford a new car, besides new cars suck, they won't last as long as the older well built cars will.

For every one of those giant rusty 20 year old trucks crushed you can likely run 3 four cyl cars. Good program idea, but the rules were too relaxed when they are taking in 6 cyl vans.
