You can purchase the Fotomate macro rail ($20) and use it as a Nodal Rail for Panoramic Landscape Photography. Much cheaper than brands like a Kirk rail ($110) or Acratech Nodal Rail ($199). As one who teaches Panoramic workshops, I was looking for an alternative for people who couldn't afford a Nodal Ninja or even a basic Nodal Rail. Here is an alternative. Though it is limited to landscape and can't be used in a portrait format. It works well and is actually easier to adjust for the No parallax point with the adjustment knob.
I switch it up depending on what I am shooting. I usually shoot landscapes with a 35mm lens which is closest to a normal lens on my 7d. If I am in tight quarters I will switch to a 10-22mm.
