This project is cutting out cylinder head baffles for an aircraft IO-540 from 2024-T3 0.040" aluminum. The plasma cutter is a Miller 375 Xtreme and the cnc table is a PlasmaCAM DHC2(2007). This gives you a bit of a view of my shop which is in my house which is a converted one-car garage and is cramped. I wanted to give a demo of how nice PlasmaCAM makes parts. It will cut this nice out of any conductive material, not quite this fast though. Kalispell, Montana. Contact me to cut your parts.

  • What's wrong with this man, use gloves man, be more professional you were getting burn, do you believe in safety? Safety first then you can keep doing your job.

  • @vzuani65 I do believe in safety. Aluminum dissipates heat very quickly, especially when it is this thin. I have been doing this for years now. I think I know when I need gloves. Thanks for your concern. Be sure and wear a helmet.

I rarely get burned. Last time was because I had holes in my gloves :-)

  • :D use some gloves man, I got burned so often on this machine .... also, I would love to find away to clamp the sheet down, because something like aluminum get dragged , kicked so easily. Nice shop!

  • @Ochibason Questions like cost are answered here:

  • @schluchtification Unfortunately, I do not know which kind of servo motors are used, but they ARE servos and not steppers.

  • How much does it cost? Great video metal worker here.

  • Nice Video, very well done!

I am thinking about building my own cnc table for my Miller 375 Xtreme plasma cutter. However, i am not quite sure which dc servo motor i should use. Maybe you know what type type of dc servo motor (specs would be nice) they use to move the plasma cutter over the table?

Thanks in advance & greetings from Austria
