According to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario an operator of a motor vehicle on a highway must produce:
1. Valid drivers licence
2.Permit for the vehicle
3.Proof of valid insurance
You have admitted to not having 2 of the 3? It is not a police officers job to verify your insurance...

This guy is a moron! The cop was completely professional, the moron admitted to breaking the law and got tickets for it.... It's not hard to imagine why he got tickets as opposed to a warning either! You can't afford a new sticker? You have an iPad and you're buying smokes? Nevermind you're right, we should let anyone drive without proof that they can operate the vehicle and proof of financial means to pay for damages in the event of an accident.
