This is our first ever run on ice. Lee is sporting a 6.5 engine with his home made snow chains. I've got a 5.5 with some more aggressive ice studs.

We had 3 more runs after this before one of Lee's chains failed.

The snow was cleared the day before this but it did snow 3cm that night. The karts were getting bogged down in the snow on the straights, so we will be clearing the ice before the next drive.

Also, turns out that you can't really do a 360 at speed using a 5.5...

  • @arrowracer76 I used the studs and they worked really well. I only used 1/2" screws and they gave a nice slip to grip feeling for the kart. Lee had the snow chains and they didn't work out all that great for him. He had no front end grip unless he was in the snow. He spent most of his time going sideways pretty slowly. I've got another video coming of me driving behind him for a few laps

  • Looks like a blast! How well did the chains work on your kart vs. your friends studs?
