Thanks for the video, I'm actually revisiting them all at the moment as a refresher. That looked like the ball position was just inside your left foot, ive heard it should be 2-3 inches inside where the club bottoms out on the swing.

You have a classic swing...don't see many of those these days, with the loose front knee...nice.

One thing that might confuse people is you DO NOT want the club to skip before it impacts the ball. It should directly after or while it's striking the ball

Very good point; so I will add that you can see this in my "golf pro lesson contact and spin" and "golf pro lesson compress through the ball" and "golf pro lesson through the ball"
Thanks for pointing this out! Shawn

Nice! - not sure why, but all of a sudden, my 3 wood is my favorite club in my bag. Whatever hitch I have in my swing is favorable to my 3 wood.

So don't hit down on a fairway wood? Because this is why I think I have so much trouble with them. I usually chunk to top my fairway woods.

Hi shawn,

Once again I seek your wisdom to correct one of my many issues. My question is, should the "skip of the sole" be before impact or after? I set up and swing it just like my driver with the exeption of ball position and I have been topping it alott. about 25 percent of the time. I really like to lay up to a yardage most of the time. I tend to only use my 3 wood for the T-box. But i would still like to have this shot in my bag. Thanks again.
