Alexi is just way too damn drunk to play good live. I went and saw them not too long ago. He broke his collar bone the show before and was still fucking playing guitar, so that has to count for something.

i don't believe that Alexi plays these solos on studio because his live performances on guitar are weak as hell, Jani is master of guitar he plays live as well as in studio, he's my guitar guru, i think Alexi have 1% skills of Jani but i still like his style and songs

Jani, by far. Alexi stopped evolving after Hatebreeder. Although, John Petrucci probably has to be the best guitarist alive, technically and musically.

It depends on who we mean when when we say "Alexi Laiho". Is it the guitar god who plays on the albums or is it that blond tatooed loser-looking dude that "sings" and "plays" guitar with the band live. Because there is no way that the schmuck who is playing live on these Youtube clips is the same one that plays on the record. It is like night and day. Of course this particular clip is all studio... thank the Lord.
