Yes, we agree on the matter of the actual problem and wish to see the world shifted toward the worship of Athe, god of disbelief. Our disagreement is on methodology of conversion. I get that it's satisfying to look smart in an argument, but you should really just present the data without comment about how the recipient is your inferior. Sometimes that's the only way to win, and winning is the only thing that has ever mattered.

Also? I'm from the Bible Belt, and super religious kids are very uncommon and as a general rule nobody likes them much. They're typically referred to as "weird religious kid". We were discussing the average case, not rare subsets.

They might've just been raised to believe it and never sought out any further information. That happens. I think you're confusing being stupid, i.e. having a low innate intelligence, with being willfully or apathetically ignorant, i.e. having a wrong belief. You enjoy your snark, though; I'm sure that you'll catch more flies with vinegar than honey in your quest to move people to rational beliefs. Me, I'm gonna choose to not be a dick and still present the atheist position.

@DigsDugd Interesting hypothesis you have. Are Creationists who reject science education in favor of "God done it in six days" average people under social pressure? Is women came from ribs and snakes can talk normal intelligent thinking? Just asking.

It seems to me that most Christians are of average intelligence and are misled by social pressure or the way they were raised or charismatic speakers. Give them their proper credit; they're people just like you or me, at some position on the intelligence distribution, who have been led into tragic error. They're not idiots; it anything, they're crippled normal people.
