The Boy Next Door Chapter 61 (Marathon 3/3)

Last part of the marathon. You see, I can really only do 3, because after that I have to take a little while to think of more ideas. Anyway, here's chapter 61! :)
Marathon Part 3/3

Nick's POV

Alyssa walked over and sat down across from me. I handed her the sundae I had bought. She smiled and played with her spoon.
"This is.... kind of awkward." she muttered.
"I know." I sighed.
She looked at me and smiled.
"I love you, Nick." she whispered.
My heart raced.
"I love you too." I replied.
"I love you so much that... I think we should just forget about what happened yesterday." she said.
I smiled back.
"I agree."
She ate a bite of ice-cream and so did I. She propped her elbows up on the table, her hands supporting her chin.
"You look so cute, today." she said.
"You do too." I laughed. "Where's all this love coming from? Usually we say it like once a day."
She giggled, reached her hand over, and placed it on top of mine.
"Because I thought about this alot last night.. and.. Nick.." she looked down.
"What?" I asked.
She blushed.
"Never mind. Forget I said anything." she mumbled.
"Tell me." I smiled.
"You'll laugh and then get mad." she whispered.
"I swear I won't." I encouraged.
She slowly looked back up at me.
"Nick... I think I... well.. I KNOW i'm in love with you... but..."
"But what?" I asked.
"I think it's more than love. I... I.. ugh.. how do I say this?" she trailed off.
I let her think for a moment and then she sighed.
"This is so hard."
I laughed and squeezed her hand.
"Ok... well..." she said.
She looked right into my eyes.
"Nick... I want to spend the rest of my life with you." she whispered. "I... I want to get married and have kids.. and just.... be together forever."
I stared at her, my eyes wide.
"I knew it. I knew you'd be mad. Oh this is a disaster." she mumbled. "I'm sorry. I- I have to go.. I-"
I grabbed her arm as she got up and I pulled her back down. She looked at me, confused.
I leaned across the table and kissed her tenderly. She kissed back and we pulled away after a moment.
"I want to spend the rest of my life with you too. And I promise you right now... when we're old enough... we'll get married and have kids and be together forever." I whispered.
Her face lit up.
"Really?" she asked.
"I promise." I murmured.
She grinned and kissed me again. And soon, everyone in the ice-cream parlour was clapping.
We pulled away and smiled at eachother.
"I love you." I told her.
"I love you too." she said.

Awww! That was so cute! I actually found myself smiling while reading the whole thing! They make such a good couple! But it would be really akward for them after almost doing "it". But I'm glad they worked it out. It actually took my mind off the whole Cori/Kevin mess! =D
