This video covers creation of a texture that will be easily manipulated into professional workplace hair styles. The hair was freshly washed/conditioned, detangled, then placed into approx. 7 large sized two strand twists to stretch while preparing to style. Moisturized with aloe vera gel and castor oil mix, the hair the hair was parted (any where you like), then placed into a right side low ponytail. Sections were taken and twisted into several twists, which were then pinned into a bun style and secured by bobby pins. This is a TUTORIAL.

  • This video is great!!! Good info. At my job noone cares about our hairstyles so I can do whatever, but stretching does help to prevent tangles and damage.

  • @Summyr1988 Thanks Darlin'! Gotta love the stretch ;o)

  • Wow, you're so beautiful!

  • @0motema0 Thanks for the love beautiful ;o)

  • Straight hair does not equate to professional hair. i love this comment and video. When I went natural(BC on Christmas this year) a few people told me ,"oh no! Wait your trying to get into HR with your natural hair? You need to straighten your hair."I could go on forever with the negative comments. I plan on doing a neat twist out and gel the edges. My hair is about 4" right now so cant do a whole lot.Thank you for bringing light to what most people i know say is impossible

  • @shimiecoco Congratulations on your hair journey! You are not alone with receiving negative comments about the hair LOL! There's some great videos on YT on styling at different lengths. That will help give you lots of styling options. Thanks so much for the feedback. --tia

  • I think it's so unfair that "afro hair" isn't considered professional for the work place and is often called messy =[.....

But if a lady comes in with a super curly S-curl weave/wig/do its considered okay. ITS THE SAME THING the natural curls are just more tighter....grrr....

Just venting about the world sorry lol....Great ideas tho :D

  • Nice vid. I don't understand people who dislike vids like this. I guess they don't have a job and are bitter :-(.
