We had a chance to talk to quite a group of Gretsch Artists. What we wanted to know was 'Why do you play Gretsch Drums ?' and 'What was your first Gretsch experience ?'. Here what Slim Jim Phantom, Alvino Bennett, Dave Beyer, Dusty Saxton and Johnny Friday had to say !

  • @XXyomammysXX have one too .love it.

  • @buddyrichjunier I have a gretsch Catalina which i love and have played Gretsch maple kits made before the 1980s.

  • gretsch drums suck they never even made maple shells in till the 80s

  • I've never owned a Gretsch kit. But back in 1970 my best friend's older brother had this 4 pc. Champagne Sparkle Gretsch kit that sounded great, awesome, even with the original heads(years). Recently at G.C. I played on the Catalina Club Set.I couldn't believe how GOOD that small 18" kick sounded! That whole set's sound was amazing for under$600.

  • Gotta Gretsch Catalina Club jazz, it's a gorgeous set! so versatile!

  • Gretsch FTW! (a)

  • I <3 Gretsch... I wish I had a kit of my own... xD Think it'll be my next :)
