  • @darthroden - You don't remember that before 2000 or so it was flying from the state house dome and in the chambers of the General Assembly?

  • Dude nice job, sounds great. vert good with the guitar too. Be nice to play for your lady haha. Nice job!

  • i like your voice. you dont have to be compared to hooties lead singer. your voices good anyway. great job. keep up the good work. mee likkeeeee. x

  • If your going to put up a copy then why don't you say its a bloody copy

  • You are horrible

  • Hey Mickster, you did a good job. You have the guitar part going well. I'd like to hear you record it properly.

This would have to be close to the best song ever written I think. It's message goes way beyond any US domestic problems, it is worldwide in it's tone. The chorus says it all.

  • As I have also stated on many posts, I as a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and a descendant of a Confederate soldier, condemn strongly any misuse of the Southern Cross....which mean virtually any use beyond memorial events and as a symbol of Southern identity.

The State of South Carolina flies the battle flag at a monument to Confederate soldiers.which is about the only place it makes sense to fly it beyond the graves themselves. Better there than on the back of some pickup truck.

  • I know based on what letters I have from my great great grandfather what he fought for, and funny but slavery was not mentioned in any of them at all.

As to the treason argument, since the US Government recognizes Confederate soldiers as American Veterans, and grants headstones to them upon requests, not to mention that the President of the US himself has a wreath placed on the Confederate graves at Arlington every Memorial Day....I believe that the treason thing is a moot point, wouldn't you?

  • @darthroden - And what about the former misuse of the battle flag as an emblem of the S.C. state government post-Jim Crow? That flag belongs on Confederate soldiers' graves and nowhere else.

  • @darthroden - What memories do you have of your ancestors who fought in the civil war? And why are you more proud of the Confederacy than the revolutionary men and women whose actions gave you the right to fly a flag which basically represents treason against our constitutional system of government? Let our Southern ancestors rest in their graves. Most of them weren't fighting for a noble cause, but because some rich slave owner paid them to fight. Know your history, y'all!
